Group Class Schedules and Events

Fall Semester 2020

OCTOBER 24 String Group Revised Schedule

Due to an anticipated dip in the temperature by tomorrow morning, and a very strong desire to meet in-person for class as long as we can, we are making adjustments to the class schedule for tomorrow. See the schedule below.

Classes will meet inside the Klarity Medical warehouse. In order to create and maintain a safe learning environment, the large loading doors will be wide-open and we will be standing close to them. It will still be a bit chilly so dress in layers.

Class times are shortened. Of course, all students and teachers are required to wear masks and everyone will be physically distanced six feet apart from one another.

This is a one-time indoor event. In the future, all other cold-day classes will meet online. This indoor event will allow us to make a couple of video recordings for a presentation we are putting together to distribute to nursing homes in the new year. Plus, we can play a few seasonal holiday related music games together! And yes, there will be candy!

We have kept most classes close to their original starting times. The Bach and Beginner classes have the bigger schedule adjustments. Thank you for being flexible. We hope the schedule changes can work for your family.

Please note that all classes that meet on-line regularly will still be on-line tomorrow following their regular schedule.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jim

Mrs. Larson

Mrs. M

Mrs. Whte

IMPORTANT GROUP CLASS INFORMATION

All classes, with the exception of Twinkler and Saturday Martin Ensemble (SME), will meet at Klarity Medical Products located at 600 Industrial Parkway, Heath, OH 43056, weather permitting. The Twinkler and SME classes will meet on-line only.

If the weather is not suitable for in-person classes, an email will be sent to you between 7AM and 7:30AM letting you know that classes will meet on-line for that day. Separate email invitations will be sent for the online classes.

STUDENT DROP OFF

Please drop-off your child for class and then return to your car, except in the case where a teacher has asked the parent to attend. There are many parking spaces located in the Klarity parking lots located all around three sides of the Klarity building. If you do leave your car, please wear a mask and practice social distancing while you are on Klarity property.

WHAT TO BRING: MUSIC STAND, BINDER, WATER BOTTLE (AND RESTROOM)

Please bring your instrument. All students, with the exception of the Beginner and Book 1-Bach classes, are required to bring a music stand and a binder containing their non-Suzuki music. Each family is responsible for creating their own binder. Bring the music stand and the binder marked with your child’s name to each class. All students should bring a water bottle labeled with their name. Please take care of restroom needs before coming to class since we do not have access to restroom facilities at Klarity (you do not have to bring a restroom!).

SAFETY RULES

Please read the following rules formulated to keep us safer, and to keep us in adherence to Denison, Klarity Medical Products, Licking County, and Ohio safety guidelines. All Denison Suzuki families must agree to follow these rules in order to participate in program classes and activities.

Face masks are required for all students and teachers for all in-person classes. We ask that parents, siblings and other additional family members not attend group classes. That said, in a couple of cases, teachers will ask a parent to attend the group class and assist in some way.

Physical distancing will be maintained in all in-person classes requiring everyone to stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people who are not from the same household.

ONLINE CLASS INVITATIONS

Classes that meet online only will receive an on-line Zoom invitation from the teacher before class. If in-person classes are moved online, families will receive a Zoom link in an email from the teacher inviting you to your class. If your class is divided into two parts, you will receive a link for each part. The second link will be sent approximately five minutes before the second class begins and it will be from the teacher of the second class.
